Golf Cart Insurance
While they are designed for driving around a golf course, many people use golf carts to drive around campgrounds, gated communities, retirement homes, and the like. Much like ATVs, a golf cart needs to be insured.
Golf Cart Insurance Coverage Options:
Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability – Protects your passengers as well as anyone else you might injure with your golf cart by covering medical bills and other injury-related expenses, up to the limits specified in your policy.
Comprehensive – Covers your golf cart if it's damaged by circumstances other than a collision. For example, if your house is flooded and your golf cart is submerged underwater.
Collision – Covers your golf cart if it's damaged in a collision with another vehicle or object.
Medical Payments – If you or anyone in your golf cart or household is hurt in a covered accident, this coverage pays for specific medical bills or expenses.
Transport Trailer – Covers damage to the nonmotorized trailer that you use to transport your golf cart from place to place.
Uninsured / Underinsured Motorist Bodily Injury – Covers you if you are in an accident where someone else is at fault, but they don't have insurance, or they don't have enough insurance to cover the costs associated with your injuries.
Uninsured / Underinsured Motorist Property Damage – Covers damage to your golf cart if you are in an accident in which someone else is at fault for the accident, but they don't have insurance or they don't have enough insurance.
Roadside Assistance – Offers help where and when you need it, such as towing, if you're stranded in your golf cart.
Accessory Coverage – This covers damage to things you've added to your golf cart, such as electronic equipment, custom seats, radios, etc. The first $3,000 is included. Additional coverage can be purchased if you really tricked out your cart.
